We want to take this opportunity to formally share that Echelon Technology Group will be assuming complete leadership of the Satori Project.

Over the past several months, many community members have faced uncertainty regarding the project’s direction and our role within it. Today, we would like to provide clarity, explain the circumstances, and outline our vision for the future.

Background and Transition
Earlier this year, the Satori Association experienced a devastating hack that depleted its treasury. This loss undermined the Association’s financial stability, leaving it unable to fund development or sustain the network. Shortly after, the Founder of the Satori Project stepped away from leadership and entrusted the project and Association to me.
At that time, Echelon was still a young company with its own internal projects underway. Initially, we had no intention of taking ownership of an underfunded open-source project. However, after extensive discussions, we brought the Founder into our strategic planning, even offering him equity in Echelon. At our company kickoff meeting in Myrtle Beach, we established what we believed to be a solid plan for reviving Satori and rebuilding the Association.
Unfortunately, following that meeting, the Founder chose to separate from both Echelon and the Association. Despite significant investments of time and capital—over $500,000—we pressed forward, with the primary goal of stabilizing the technology, restoring the Association, and eventually returning control to the community.

Why Full Transition Was Necessary
This past year has been marked by repeated setbacks stemming from indecision and mismanagement prior to our involvement. After the Founder’s most recent public statement, it became clear to both Echelon and the community that a full transfer of responsibility was the only viable path forward.

Our decision was not made lightly. We carefully considered:
  • The dedication of moderators, admins, and community members since day one, they played a crucial role in this decision.
  • The financial and time investment Echelon has made.
  • The sacrifices made by our team, who put internal projects on hold to support Satori.
  • The personal investments of community members, pool operators, and node operators.
Ultimately, for the sake of the project’s survival and growth, Echelon has formally taken over leadership of Satori.

Looking Ahead: Satori 2.0
While this transition is fresh, we are already laying out the next steps. Here’s what the community can expect in the near term:
  • Development Plans: Current development timelines will shift slightly, with new schedules announced in the coming days.
  • Satori 2.0: We will leave the existing GitHub repository intact, but Satori 2.0 will be built as an open-source version of our Cortex AI Engine (learn more here).
  • New Blockchain: Instead of Echelon Chain, Satori 2.0 will utilize a forked version of Dash. This chain better supports Cortex, reduces development overhead, and positions us for a mid-October testnet release.
  • Marketplace: Many components are already complete, and we anticipate release before Christmas this year.
  • Central Rebuild: A re-architected version of Central is underway, with more processes moving on-chain for efficiency.
  • Naming Conventions: Existing terminology—Oracle, Predictor, Neuron, etc.—will be preserved.
  • Governance: The Association will be restructured with additional community members on the board to ensure transparency, oversight, and long-term open-source stewardship.
  • Asset Management: A non-custodial asset manager is in development via UNCX.com.
  • Neuron Management: We are building a centralized console for streamlined Neuron deployment and management.
Satori 2.0 Transition
  • Token Preservation: We will provide a 1 to 1 swap for all of the current Satori Tokens in Circulation. Method of swap TBD
  • Capture of tokens on Base: We will do our best to capture the tokens currently on base.
  • Social Media: The website, youtube, and X accounts will remain in control of Echelon.
  • Satori Association: The Association will remain in place with no change.
  • Community Infrastructure: A new Discord server has already been created, with invites to be shared shortly.

Familiar Faces
We have preserved the most important aspects of the old Community they are:
  • ENSO - Main Community Oversight
  • TheHumbleMiner - Admin of the new community
  • Deadheded - Position TBD
  • WilQ - Position TBD
  • JC - Position TBD
  • Sparta - Position TBD
Our Commitment
The Founder’s final statement confirmed his decision to stay stepped back. While we respect his contributions, Echelon is now fully committed to carrying the Satori vision forward.
We believe in this project’s potential and in the strength of its community. Together, we can establish Satori 2.0 and the new Satori Chain as a benchmark in open-source AI.
We thank you for your patience, your support, and your belief in what we are building. We look forward to seeing you in the new Discord channel and to working together on this exciting next chapter.
